The Tortoise Continues

Who knows...my body has a mind of its own. After eating half a lemon cake last week I still lost one pound. So that is 176 this week. Had to stop running the last have of the week due to a rough left knee but back to 2 miles today...feels pretty good.

Better but not enough

I really did try to watch what I was eating this week. Joe and I went away this weekend and had a nice dinner at our hotel in upstate New York, or I might have been a little better. On the road in Ohio all this week. I think the snow week after week is getting to me. Another storm tomorrow and another one this weekend. We have averaged two a week and its in the negative temperatures. Spring anyone??

Well I still weigh 179. So I guess for a bad week I should be glad I didn't gain. Back on track with exercise this morning. Feeling a lot better so should be able to stay on track. Ate chocolate twice last week but that was my only real cheat. No more chocolate!!!

Confirmations

Well, it was a week of confirmations for me. That doesn't mean it was a good week, but at least I know what I have to avoid. I confirmed:

  • When I am bored, I eat. I didn't travel at all last week and actually never left the house from Sunday till Friday. NOT GOOD!
  • When I am stressed, I eat. The beginning of the year is the worst time at work and this year isn't letting us down.
  • When I don't post, I eat. I didn't post at all last week and therefore I could eat in secret and didn't have to tell anyone.
  • When I can find an excuse not to exercise, I do...and it doesn't take much of an excuse!
I spend so much of my life controlling things, my clients, my team, budgets, etc. The one area where I have no control is eating and I am sure there are much deeper reasons for that.

I have to make a conscious effort this week to lose. I am not traveling again, so there have to be ways to avoid the food.

So this morning I am down another pound...177...It looks like slow but steady is the train I'm on.

Bad week! I've had a nasty cold so haven't been exercising. Didn't want to have a cough attack on any one! I will be lucky not to gain anything back! Oh well Monday is a new day!

Starting Over

I started off very well last week and got down to 196 pounds. Thursday and Friday I found myself starving and derailed. I can't shake this cold that I've had for a week and am finding food is the only thing taking me out of my misery.

Last week's weight : 199.2
This morning's weight: 199.2.

So I'm right back where I started. I'll do better this week.

First Week

All right I think I blew the boys out of the water.

However thats how it goes with me. Chunks of weight instead of steady weight loss so we will see. Next week could be nothing.

Monday 1.10.11

Well after a week on the road last week and eating lots of Pizza and Cold Stone I managed to drop 1 pound. Fortunately I was motivated enough to hit the hotel gym!

A New Week

OK, so not as good as I would have liked, but I think still a successful week despite all the trauma of travel. Friday night all my flights got cancelled home so I had to fly from St. Louis to Philadelphia and take a car service to Newark airport to get my car. That's cause enough to binge..but I didn't. I also made it through Ingrid's sisters 40th birthday party with only half a piece of birthday cake. I did manage to walk 40 blocks in NYC in the freezing cold. So enough babbling.

Ending Weight: 203.7
Weight Lost: 2.9 pounds
Percentage: 1.4%

No traveling this week so maybe I can actually check out the 360 a few times!! Good luck!

This Week

Feeling good about this week. Didn't cheat once and exercised every day. Next week I will try to add to my exercise with the WII Personal Trainer. I'm glad its Friday. Ready for the weekend!

Good Day

Although I was traveling today I stuck to it. Salads for lunch and dinner. Although I did eat half a chocolate bar the hotel gave me, but I was starving! However, my flights home tomorrow are cancelled already because of the snow storm back there, so I am stuck in St Louis till Saturday!

Wednesday Update

I did great all day yesterday, until last night. That big tin of popcorn was still sitting in the middle of the floor and unfortunately the caramel popcorn had this incredible suction that pulled me in. Fortunately, Joey disposed of that this morning and it is no longer an issue. Let's see where today goes. Tomorrow will be a real test since I will be traveling again to St. Louis. With snow in our forecast for the time I am supposed to be flying home on Friday I have to stay away from the chocolate.
Feeling so much better! My pants aren't quite as tight today and no stomach ache. Hardest part is not eating after dinner! TV and food seem to go together. Going grocery shopping. No cookies or chips going in the cart!

I am in total agreement, the afternoon is difficult. I ran 2 miles at lunch on the treadmill and did some upper body stuff and it is all I can do not to hammer some sugar this afternoon. Oh well, one hour to Cincinnati Chili...bring it on!

Right Back On It

Right back on it today! So far so good. Two eggs and bacon for breakfast (go protein). Small chili and side salad for lunch. Apple for snack. Late afternoon is the worst time for me. If I can make it through that, I can keep going.

Weigh In

Stepped on the scale at 199.2 this morning. Goal weight is 185. Didn't eat much today. Not one snack (but maybe tonight). Ron and I went off the diet we barely started by having tacos. Just had to celebrate his wonderful news. We will sleep well tonight!

Almost through the day

OK, I made it through 3/4 of the day without binging on ANYTHING! I did have a handful of honey roasted peanuts.

Off and Running

I got on the scale this morning and I too was disgusted, but for another reason. For WEEKS I have been between 208 and 209. Of course, when I got on the scale this morning I was 206.6. So that is my starting point. I promise not to celebrate my other good news with a box of chocolates!
